RAG - "Raise and Give" or "Raising and Giving"
RAG is a once in a lifetime opportunity at university to spend your time having fun, meeting new people, raising money for charity and having experiences you never thought were possible. Our aim is to raise money for charity in any way possible. Whether you're interested in weekly street collections, running student balls, climbing Kilimanjaro, or blagging your way to Arizona, RAG has something for you.
Last year was a record-breaking year for Bristol RAG, raising an incredible £194,186.34 for charity, including £22,000 dedicated towards local Bristol charities and projects. RAG's fundraising total since its inception 83 years ago is now over a million pounds.
RAG is a perfect way to meet lots of new people and have an amazing experience. Orbital and RAG work very closely to give Orbital students the opportunity to raise money for charity as well as to organise their own events.
We are looking for Orbitrons who are passionate about raising money for charity to become Orbital RAG Reps. You will organise RAG events which will be specifically for the rest of Orbital as well as promoting RAG events to Orbital freshers. Reps will receive full training from RAG and help with everything when it comes to events. There are even free socials and club nights for reps. You can do as little or much as you want taking a back seat handing out flyers for a small event, or running your own weekend long music festival its your call!
