Orbital - Freshers Out Of Halls

Orbital Charity and Fundraising

Orbital offers many ways of getting involved in fundraising and charity work for anyone who is passionate about raising money for charity. Whether it’s getting involved with RAG, helping to organise Orbital charity events, or doing your own personal fundraising activities or volunteer work, Orbital can help support and facilitate it.

RAG (standing for Raising and Giving) is the largest society in Bristol Student Union. Every year RAG helps Bristol students raise thousands of pounds for countless local and national charities with events throughout the year such as street collections, the annual RAG Ball, RAG week, bar crawls, a trip to Amsterdam as well as smaller RAG events for individual halls and Orbital.

Orbital has been very active in fundraising for RAG and has been one of the top 5 collectors out of the halls. Opportunities to get involved in RAG include organising orbital RAG events as well as promoting the larger RAG events to Orbital members.

ORBITAL CHARITY REPS

A fantastic way of getting involved in fundraising is to become one of Orbital’s Charity Reps: a team of people who will help to organise and coordinate fundraising activities and events throughout the year. Becoming a Charity Rep will not only mean you can be part of a team that raises money for charity and gives something back to the community, it is also great fun and a really good way to meet new people with similar interests to yourself.

Orbital will also support individual charity interests such as individual sponsored events or a particular charity or cause that you might want to raise money for.
